Welcome to The Herbal Faerie! I’m Jenny Barks, and I’m so glad you’re here.

I created The Herbal Faerie to bring a little everyday magic to your self-care routine. My hope is that you’ll find something here that makes an ordinary moment feel special, whether you’re choosing a treat for yourself or a thoughtful gift for someone else.

I’m a molecular and cellular biologist with many years of experience in medical research. I believe good skin care should be reasonably priced, thoughtfully formulated, and made with natural, high-quality ingredients. I choose each ingredient carefully, with a commitment to using only the best in my formulas.

My formulating journey began close to home: with my own very sensitive skin, a dog with an autoimmune disease, and plenty of requests from family. What started as a personal interest quickly grew as those requests inspired me to expand my range of formulas.

My scientific background informs my thoughtful approach to formulating, but my heart is in helping people and pets find skin care that suits their needs.
